Claude for Small Business: 15 Workflows, No Extra Cost
May 23, 2026 | AI Tools & Business
Anthropic added 15 pre-built workflows to Claude on May 13th. If you run a small business on QuickBooks, HubSpot, or Google Workspace, some of them will save you hours this week. No new subscription required.
What It Is
Claude for Small Business is a plugin that runs inside Claude Cowork, Anthropic's task-automation platform. Enable it, connect your existing tools, and you get a set of workflows built specifically for small business operations.
Connectors available at launch: QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, DocuSign, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Square, Stripe, and Webflow.
If you already use any of those tools, connecting them is the hard part done.
The 15 Workflows
The workflows span five business functions.
Finance: payroll planning, 30-day cash forecasting, month-end close, accountant packet generation, overdue invoice chasing.
Sales: lead triage from your CRM.
Marketing: campaign creation that runs from HubSpot analysis through to Canva asset generation.
Operations: business pulse reporting.
HR and Customer Service: additional workflows in both categories.
The finance stack is where this gets genuinely useful for most owners. Month-end close and accountant packet generation alone cover tasks that typically take hours of manual pulling from different systems. Cash forecasting that actually pulls from QuickBooks is a different thing entirely from a spreadsheet template you fill out by hand.
How It Works
Claude does the work: calculations, drafts, data pulls from your connected tools. Nothing executes without your approval. It presents the output, you sign off, then it sends or posts. Human-in-the-loop design for everything.
That matters for small business owners who don't have a finance team reviewing outputs before they go out. You stay in control of what leaves your business.
What It Costs
No additional charge. This is included in existing Claude plans: Pro ($20/month), Max ($100 to $200/month), and Team ($25 to $30/seat). The third-party tools like QuickBooks and HubSpot are paid separately, but if you already use them, you are not adding anything to your bill.
The Workshop Tour
Anthropic is also running a 10-city free workshop tour alongside the launch: Chicago, Tulsa, Dallas, New Jersey, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Salt Lake City, Baltimore, San Jose, and Indianapolis. Half-day sessions, free to attend. Attendees get a free month of Claude Max.
If one of those cities is accessible, it is worth the time. Half a day to get a working setup is a better return than reading about it.
What This Actually Replaces
The gap I see most often with small business owners is not skepticism about AI. It is the setup cost. Building a workflow from scratch in Claude requires knowing what to ask for and how to structure it. Pre-built workflows remove that friction. You do not have to be a prompt engineer to run a 30-day cash forecast.
The connector ecosystem is what makes this practical instead of theoretical. A cash flow projection that pulls directly from QuickBooks is useful. One that requires you to manually enter figures is just a more expensive spreadsheet.
This does not replace your bookkeeper or your marketing team. What it replaces is the two or three hours you spend every month assembling reports that Claude can now pull and format in minutes. For most small business owners, that is the right trade.
